https://youtu.be/Jemynj_O-7kdo i need a medical doctor's  referral to receive chiropractic care  and the answer is no most chiropractic  offices are independent offices outside  but also working with traditional medical care now  the only exception to this where you might need  a medical doctor's referral is if your insurance  requires it and most insurances don't require it  the exception i'm thinking of is medi-cal or  medicaid if you're in a different state than  california under medi-cal insurance rules you  will need a primary care physician's referral to  receive chiropractic care most chiropractors will  not accept medi-cal reimbursement is way too low  for for all the paperwork involved in  having a medi-cal patient as a patient  now i work in a multi-disciplinary clinic in  sonoma where i work alongside medical doctors  osteopaths nurse practitioners where we  see almost exclusively medical patients  and in that situation i receive medical  referrals for every patient i see
