Training to become a doctor of chiropractic is often compared to going to medical school. Chiropractors must go through a premed program that leads to a bachelor degree, and then attends for academic years of chiropractic college. During chiropractic college, chiropractors must pass for national boards examinations and a physical therapy examination before becoming licensed. Licensing is done state by state, and every state has an independent licensing board. While in chiropractic college, we got to do a lot of hands-on training in addition to our academic training. We got our hands on people from day one, but as time went by our skills become more and more specialized. Adventures, we attended student clinic where we perform treatments on real patients.
