What to Expect at Your First Visit | adjust.clinic Petaluma

Clear. Calm. Focused on You.

If you’ve never seen a chiropractor before — or you’ve never been injured in an accident — we understand:

You might feel unsure about what comes next.

At adjust.clinic, we’ve helped hundreds of patients begin the healing process.

You’ll never be rushed, judged, or left wondering.

We walk you through every step.

Here’s what to expect at your first visit:

1. A Warm Welcome

From the moment you walk in, our team is here to support you.

We’ll greet you by name, help with any paperwork, and make sure you’re comfortable before anything else begins.

We’ve designed our office to feel calm, clean, and safe — so you can focus on healing.

2. One-on-One Time with Dr. Lloyd

Your first appointment includes a thorough consultation with Dr. Todd Lloyd.

He’ll listen carefully to your story — how the accident happened, what symptoms you’re noticing, and how it’s affecting your daily life.

You’ll have time to ask questions and talk honestly.

You are not “just a file” here — you’re a person on a recovery journey, and we treat you that way.

3. A Gentle, Focused Examination

Next, we’ll perform a series of orthopedic, neurological, and motion-based tests — all designed to identify:

  • Spinal joint dysfunction
  • Muscle guarding or spasm
  • Nerve involvement
  • Signs of concussion or soft tissue trauma

We do not rush or over-test.

Our goal is to find the root cause of your symptoms — and build a plan that actually works.

4. Answers and a Recovery Plan

Once we’ve reviewed your exam findings, Dr. Lloyd will explain:

  • What we found
  • What it means
  • Whether chiropractic care can help
  • What treatment will look like, how often, and how long

If appropriate, you may begin treatment on the same day.

If not, we’ll explain why — and what the next step should be.

You’ll walk out feeling informed, empowered, and supported.

5. Billing & Insurance Transparency

If you’re part of a personal injury case, we may treat you on a medical lien — no upfront payment required.

We’ll verify this during your visit and communicate with your attorney.

For non-lien cases, we provide clear, upfront pricing — no surprise bills, ever.

What to Bring to Your First Visit

  • Photo ID
  • Insurance card (if applicable)
  • Attorney info (if on lien)
  • Date and description of accident
  • Any prior imaging (X-rays, MRIs, etc.)
  • A list of symptoms or questions

🛤️ This Is the First Step Toward Feeling Better

We know starting care can feel vulnerable.

That’s why our first visit is built around trust, clarity, and calm guidance.
